Thank you to all the volunteers who helped install the playground equipment. This is the first phase of the playground build. All of the grading for the park is complete. Rain gardens and plantings were installed by Ahronian Landscape and Design. The rain gardens are a natural, environmentally friendly drainage system that naturally filters runoff and returns it back into the ground. The playground equipment has been installed but the park will remain a construction site and closed until the spring. Phase two of the build will happen in spring of 2012. The Holliston Parks Department is organizing a volunteer day when the community is encouraged to help finish the landscaping and brick laying. Bricks are still available for purchase until Dec 31, 2011. The bricks will be ordered at that time so they will be ready for our spring installation.
